Mitarashi Matsuri is the shinto ritual to pray for good health and longevity with a candle by immersing your feet in the water of the pond in the precinct at the Shimogamo Jinjya Shrine.
“Kinkaku-ji” – Golden Pavilion and purple Iris.
The golden-shining temple look not to need flowers normally. However, purple Iris well suits it. One of Kyoto’s most famous temple. The structure was completely covered in gold leaf.
