This double-blossom cherry tree is called “Fugenzo-Zakura”.
It is an original species grows only in this area. Late bloom. And when the flowers fall, it is famous for falling with every corolla.

Ninna-ji Temple. It has a huge Gate, Tower and “Omuro Sakura.”
The cherry tree of Ninna-ji is very special.
It is famous for its late bloom, which is short and has large petals, and is called “Omuro Sakura”.
Daikaku-ji Temple, Osawa-no-ike(Pond) with Sakura.
In the 8th century, Daikakuji was originally built as the Imperial Palace.
Therefore, the appearance is still elegant and it is more like the Imperial Palace rather than a temple.
Tenryu-ji Temple in Arashiyama area.
Tenryuji is the head temple of Zen Buddhism sect. Big cherry trees cover the main hall and it is a masterpiece.
Nakaragai Path on Kamogawa river bank.
Along the bank of Kamogawa river it seen so many SAKURA, specially famous area is Nakaragi path(800m) beside the Kyoto botanical gardens. Sakura tunnel path is simply overwhelming.
Arashiyama with Cherry blossoms is the best season now.
